Donkey plays Hide and Seek

Below is a photo of Donkey from the Shrek films. He is inflatable, but currently uninflated. My question to you is:

If fully inflated Donkey was playing Hide and Seek in my kitchen, how many possible hiding places could he find? (Clue: the plug socket in the background of the photo is a useful size reference.)

Please post your answer to the question as a comment. The closest answer will win a top prize. Competition ends 7pm Thursday 18th August.

I left it deliberately vague. However just to help you out, a few clarifications:

1) Donkey can take reasonable steps to conceal himself. For example, moving the washing up powder box is allowed, but unscrewing shelving units constitutes cheating.

2) Each hiding place counts. So three cupboards count as three hiding places.

3) Hiding that results in permanent personal injury is not only stupid but also prohibited.

4) As long as Donkey is hidden in a place that will not be discovered after a brief glance around the kitchen it counts.

Hope this helps.

My, my! You have taken to this blogging lark like a proverbial duck haven't you?

It was a pity you missed the ice breaker at our last cell meeting. Each person present had to take on the role of an "Intergalactic Bounty Hunter". The universe was defined as being our living room and they had to find as many concealed soft toys as possible and bring them to base. It was a scream.

If you want your answer to remain secret you can always email your answer to me.

Donkey played Hide and Seek tonight. I've got photo evidence which will appear post deadline. There were a few controversial hiding places, so might have to find a 2nd judge.
